It's an interesting method that could be looked at... I guess there is some admin overhead but looks like a 'fairer' solution than the current one

I’d go back to the original rule that non-starred players can freely play for their respective B-team when needed, however they must play front end. This stops teams playing A-team skips at skip on their B-team.

James, that rule would only work if clubs starred their best players. As we all know it was open to abuse and therefore was abused. Starred players would need to be regulars on the A team and the only way I can see round it would be to apply some sort of stipulation that if a player has not played x amount of A team games in the last year he cannot qualify as a starred player.
