Now that the ladies are eligible for selection, can someone clear up a small matter ? If a club has 2 or more teams and the B team fields 16 males are the ladies permitted to turn out for the A team or should the A team consist of 16 males with the ladies shoring up the B team. The NIWPGL has restricted the number of male players and stipulated that they must play front end. Does the PGL have any such stipulations ? Hopefully this change is used to the benefit of clubs but not to the detriment of its members. That said I welcome any change which is progressive so Welcome Ladies.

Hi Gary that is a good question maybe someone from the PGL committee or the IBA could answer the questions, but from what I have read on this is that there's no restriction on the ladies and where they play. The only one restriction that I found was that the ladies are forbidden to enter or play in the PGL championship competition in other words the (PGL singles) I was very surprised to learn that the PGL had moved as far as this allowing ladies to enter the men's PGL pairs, triple and rinks, although this has got to be good for those clubs that are struggling.
The question that I would have is can ladies enter the PGL pairs, triples and rinks without a male member in their side / team.
So I think that the answer to your question is no restrictions they can play wherever selected senior (A TEAM) OR Junior (B TEAM).

There are no restrictions for ladies playing in any league or PG Cup matches. Therefore no requirement for an all male A team and ladies playing in B team.
Ladies are not permitted to play in IBA Cups.
Ladies are not permitted to play in any of the Championships. If they won PG Championships, they wouldn’t be eligible to play in IBA or BIBC Championships.
