Now that the season is about to kick off the weather takes a turn for the worst, how predictable was this?
How many games if any will get started tomorrow never mind getting the 21 ends played.
Maybe time to apply to the sports Council for a grant to fit electric opening and closing roofs over the greens, wow wow wow just think of the cost involved in this if it was possible and how much extra ground would be required around a green to hold the frame work up.
Well let us hope that tomorrow's weather is a one off and the weather will pick up as the season progresses a bit of last seasons weather certainly wouldn't go a miss.
Good luck to all for the season and enjoy your bowling.
Here's a question for everyone how many clubs if any still use the old ground sheets to protect the green in poor weather conditions.

Paul, whilst roofs over greens would be fantastic we can't even get a grant to help with floodlights. If anyone knows of any club who has had their old floodlights replaced and has the old ones lying around please get in touch. Hopefully the weather does pick up sooner rather than later. I think we might have the groundsheets but knowing today's Health & Safety brigade they are probably classed as a trip hazard lol
