At last night's GP meeting, after 26 years of dedicated service in office, Davy Irvine indicated to the GP Committee that he wished to step down as Competitions Secretary with immediate effect. Committee has appointed Mark Tait to assume this role in an interim capacity, with a view to seeking the approval of the forthcoming EGM for his appointment on a permanent basis. The GP Committee would like to thank Davy for all his years of service to the Northern Ireland Private Greens Bowling League and wish him a happy and well deserved retirement.

100% agree Darren.
Davy has done a great job over the years in the post and deserving of a well earned rest.
Remember fondly back to the days of playing bowls on a Saturday afternoon and eagerly awaiting on the Irelands Saturday Night geting delivered to get the draws for the PGL Competitions :-)
Congrats to Mark on his appointment to Hon Competition Secretary. The PGL competitions will be in safe hands for at least the next 26 years.
