Dear Members
As you will all be aware the old forum was created by the late Bryan Magrath and he was the only person who had administrator access to the forum.
Creating a new forum gives the GP committee the ability to set up various administrators and allows us to properly police the forum. Also over the past season there have been various comments made on the old forum that have been openly critical yet the user has remained anonymous by using an alternative name/alias. Whilst we have no wish to curb free speech we would kindly remind users that if you have a point to make that it be done respectfully, under your own name, and complies with the NIPGBL Social Networking Policy (copy can be viewed on the PGL website - nipgl.co.uk/social-networking-policy ). Please remember that all members of the GP committee give of their time and efforts voluntarily for the benefit of the whole association. If you have a genuine criticism then by all means contact the Honorary Secretary via the normal channels - letter or email - and your points can be discussed by the GP committee.
The GP committee has agreed a new registration process details of which are laid out below.
1. A valid and current email address will be required during registration.
2. Your unique username AND display name MUST be the combination of your first and last name (eg. John Smith becomes johnsmith).
3. You will be contacted and asked for your club name as part of the registration process.
4. Once you have registered you will then have to be authorised by the forum administrators before you are able to post any comments. If you do not comply with the first three requirements when registering then you will be denied access to the forum.
5. Subsequently once authorised to post comments if the administrators consider your comments to be offensive or defamatory in nature we reserve the right to moderate/censor these comments and you could be barred from using the forum.
